The Detroit Lions are almost assured of the third seed in the NFC playoffs after their contentious loss in Dallas.
The Lions are hoping to move up to the No. 2 place, but head coach Dan Campbell says he won’t be resting any of his regulars for Sunday afternoon’s regular-season finale against Minnesota.
“To me, it’s about winning this game,” he stated. “We’re going to win this game by using every tool in our arsenal. That’s what this is all about.
To secure the No. 2 seed, the Detroit Lions (11-5) must triumph, while the Philadelphia Eagles and Cowboys must either lose or draw their Sunday games. Later in the day, the Eagles take on the Giants (5-11) after the Cowboys face the Commanders (4-12).
“Everybody’s going to be wanting to see it and that’s why you need to win, so that you’re going to be excited to watch the games and see what happens,” Campbell stated. “Look, we need to wrap things up strong. We have to go play competitive football against a team that will give it their all. We need to play excellent, solid, clean football.”
The Lions are still getting over their Saturday night 20-19 setback to the Cowboys.
